Ebenezer Obeng-Bio, Ph.D. is a plant breeder at the Plant Breeding Division of the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG), New Tafo- Akim. He works with a breeding team to develop populations and hybrids on station and on-farm. He also helps to develop cultivation schemes or modify existing research methods to achieve desired results.
Education
2018: PhD in Plant Breeding at the University of Ghana.
2010: Master of Science in Plant Breeding at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumai-Ghana.
2007: Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, KNUST, Kumasi- Ghana.
Research Interests
Crop breeding and genetics with emphasis on population improvement for quality attributes, environmental adaptation, cultivar development, and dissemination through sustainable seed systems.
Applied and adaptive crop production research, and extension to increase the efficiency, profitability, and sustainability of food and farming systems.
Participatory methods to ensure relevance of research results.
